Promoting learning through design and technology
At Webster Associates we’ve been providing practical courses, workshops, seminars and consultancy services for teachers, organisations and families interested in promoting education and learning through design and technology (D&T) for over 8 years.
During this time we’ve gained a reputation throughout the UK as one of the leading authorities on developing technology based learning activities and inspired children, parents and teachers alike through our educational events and family D&T activities.
We also work closely with industry, Local Education Authorities (LEAs) and other organisations, to help them engage children in the exciting world of design and technology.

Family learning projects
We understand the vital role that parents play as their child’s first and natural teachers. To engage and support them with this responsibility we run family learning projects, on behalf of schools or LEAs which are aimed at the whole family. We create a fun, relaxed environment in which parents and children work together on various technology based projects and activities.

Technology talks and seminars
Pat Webster, our founder has been a guest speaker at a variety of design and technology based conferences and seminars over the years.
From talks to lectures, from working with student teachers to conferences featuring some of the world’s leading engineering companies, Pat has delivered seminars on a host of D&T related subjects both in the UK and abroad.

Working with teachers
If you’re looking for help and advice on whether your school has the necessary design and technology teaching resources, we can help. We work with teachers to evaluate their current teaching resources and offer advice on low cost ways to bring design and technology alive.
Alternatively we can provide design and technology curriculum days, twilight workshops, staff meetings, and demonstration lessons for classes, schools or even groups of schools.

Research and development
Over the years we’ve developed a range of design and technology construction kit materials that can be used in schools, playgroups or at home.
These include developing the LEGO Early Simple Machines range to re-grouping the BRIO components to produce distinctive curriculum sets which support D&T in the Foundation Stage, Key stage 1 and 2 and link with the QCA scheme of work.
One of our more recent launches is our ‘Test Box Technology’ kits, which provide the necessary resource materials for teaching D&T in the classroom.
